Hathcock3907 GADSDEN — Services for Jimmy Dale Hathcock, 52, of Camelia Avenue, Gadsden, will be Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Bellew officiating. Burial wilt be in Rainbow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 9 tonight.
Mr. Hathcock died Thursday in Gadsden.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene Hathcock of Gadsden; a daughter, Tina Hathcock of Georgia; a stepdaughter, Shannon Smith of Gadsden; two sons, Todd Hathcock of Guntersville and Tim Hathcock of Jacksonville; a stepson, Greg Alfred of Gadsden; his stepmother, Virginia Hathcock of Albertville; his father, Louie Hathcock of Albertville; a sister, Sybil Bolton of Clay County; a brother, Ralph Hathcock of Gadsden; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be nephews. An Etowah County native, Mr. Hathcock, known by family friends as "Big John" was a graduate of Emma Sansom High School Class of 1960. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. after 29 years of service and was a member of the United Rubber Worker Local 12.
