Polk TN County Court Minutes 1848-1856: 1850-1851 John Gordon many references, most pertaining to the guardianship of heirs of Rector Lewis Davis. Found court notes on Shamblin also. Most likely this John Gordon is the same John Gordon that filed for pension from Polk County TN for War of 1812 service. The court records reference Elizabeth Gordon. That is the name of the pensioners 2nd wife. 3rd wife was widow Shamblin.
