DEATH CLAIMS C. D. M'KILLOP IN HENDERSON5135 HENDERSONVILLE. April 28.
(Speclal) C. D. McKillop, prominent farmer of the Edneyville and Liberty sections of Henderson county, died suddenly late Sunday evenlng at his home near Edneyville.
Funeral services will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. Sam F. Huntley officiating, assisted by the Rev. N. A. Melton.
Pallbearers will be: Clarence Laughter, John Nesbitt, D. P. Moss, J. Clarence Coston, W. Lancaster and Benjamin Marlow.
Flower bearers will be: Mildred and Beth Wells, Edith Rogers, Bernice and Vava Nix, Ora Bright and Crettie Rhodes.
Mr. McKillop. 67, was a life-long resident of Henderson county. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American war.
Suiviving are the widow. Mrs. Dinah Rhodes McKillop, and the following children: Mrs. Selma Rogers, of Hendersonville, route 2; Mrs. Horace Garren, of Fletcher: Mrs. Claude Willis, of route 2; Mrs. Herbert Poole, of Bessemer City; Mrs. Burley Williams of Spindale. Miss., Miss Inez McKillop, of Hendersonville, and Miss Gladys McKillop, of W. C. T. college, Cullowhee. Also surviving are one brother, J. A. McKillop, and a sister. Mrs. Lutishia Rhodes, of Fletcher.
