EMORY - Services for J.D. Tharp, 81, Emory, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Emory United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael Proctor officiating.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday in Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.
Services are under the direction of Wilson-Orwosky-Stinson Funeral Home in Emory.
Mr. Tharp died Saturday afternoon in a Fairfield hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born Jan. 13, 1907, in Texas. He was a retired machinist and a member of Emory United Methodist Church. He was also a member of Rains County Senior Citizens Band.
Survivors include a son, Gaston Edward Tharp, Carrolton; a daughter, Josephine Liotta, Fairfield; a sister, Lolita Searcy, Houston; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchldren.
