BISMARCK - Elva M. Casteel, 91, of Bismarck passed away on June 25, 2006 at her home. She was born on December 27, 1914 in Arcadia, daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine Hastey Persons. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louie Casteel; two sons, Arthur "Sonny" Casteel and Paul Casteel; two daughters, Leona Kindlesparger and Reva Casteel; one sister, Edna Crosby; and five brothers, Lonnie, Earl, Ernest, Edgar and Everett Persons.
She is survived by six sons, Norman Casteel of Bismarck, Ralph Casteel and wife Freda of Bismarck, William Casteel and wife Linda of Irvington, KY, James Casteel and wife JoAnn of Bismarck, Lester Casteel and wife Donna of Leadwood and Terry Casteel and wife Patty of Bismarck; four daughters, Louise Williams of Ironton, Rose May Tidwell and husband Bill of DeSoto, Margie Mayberry and husband Mike of Bismarck and Lorene "Blondie" Rowe and husband Bill of Dracut, MA; 65 grandchildren; 102 great-grandchildren; and 33 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

LOUIE CASTEEL5104 Louie Casteel, Bismarck, died Feb. 14 at the Mineral Area Osteopathic Hospital He was 74.
He was bom Feb. 2, 1906, in Arcadia to the late Charlie C. and Jane Hensen Casteel. He was preceded in death by a son son, Paul Casteel, a daughter Reva Casteel, and one brother, Melvin Casteel.
He is survived by his wife, Elva Casteel of Bismarck, seven sons; Norman Casteel of Bismarck, Ralph Casteel of Salem, Mass., Author (Sonny) Casteel of Bismarck, William Casteel of Ivington, Ky., James Casteel and Terry Casteel, both of Bismarck and Charles CasteeL of Oak Harbor, Wash., five daughters: Leona Kindlesparger of Womack, Rosamay Tidewell of Imperial, Louise Inman of Ironton, Margie May berry of Bismarck and Lorine Rowe of Dracet, Mass. He is also survived by three sisters: Alice Inman of St Louis, Ruby Fisher of Bismarck and Marie Kenny of Rosell; one brother, Lester Casteel of Arnold, 56 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Shipman and Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Arcadia.
