Marion Hendon5077CENTRE - Marion L. Hendon 82, of Cave Springs, Ga., Rt. 1, died Wednesday in a Rome, Ga., hospital, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Bethel Baptist Church in Forney, with the Rev. Herman Lindsay, the Rev. Ray Baldwin and the Rev. Amos Adams officiating. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery with Perry Funeral Home directing. 
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rosie Weatherly Hendon; four sons, Emmet L. Hendon, Enmon C. Hendon and Henry Hendon, all of Rome, Ga. C. C. Hendon, Cave Springs, Ga.; three daughters, Mrs. Louise Grogan, Shamblee, Ga.; Mrs. Earline Simpson, Cave Springs; and Mrs. Addie Lee Burgers, Hixson, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, a native of DeKalb County, and spent most of his life in Cherokee County. The body will remain at his residence until the hour of service.
