OBITUARY:
Doss Turner, who had been sick for several days at his home on West Main Street, died Monday afternoon shortly after 12 o'clock. He became sick with influenza and soon developed pneumonia, gradually sinking until the end came.
Doss was janitor at the County Court House at the time of his death and by his genial and sunny disposition made many friends. He was one of those rare individuals who seldom look upon the dark side of life and to be in his presence was always to enjoy a good laugh.
Besides his wife, who was Miss Alice Mackey, and three small children, he was survived by his father and two brothers and one sister. The father and one brother live at Hollywood and the other brother lives at Dalark, the sister, Mrs. L. Ham living on Red Hill.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at Rose Hill cemetery by Dr. W. R. Richardson.
