4385Malcolm "Mac" E. Stamper, 78, Eldon, died Sunday at Eldon. He was born May 14, 1916, in Linn Creek, the son of William and Ollie Burch Stamper. He was married May 20, 1970, in Lebanon, to Flossie Webery, who survives at the home.
He was raised in the Linn Creek area and lived in the Kansas City area for more than 20 years, working in the concrete business. He spent his last 30 years in Miller County. He was a World War II Army veteran.
Other survivors include: one son, Larry Stamper, Montreal; two stepsons, Darrell Webery, Eldon, and Marvin Fisher, Lincoln, Neb.; two stepdaughters, Betty Durham and Delores Webery, both of Eldon; one brother, Bill Stamper, Linn Creek; three sisters, Icel Fields, Versailles, Syble Spencer, Osage Beach, and Stella Baughn, Adrian; three grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Griswold-Kays Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Eldon Myers will officiate. Burial will be in Eldon City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.
