urford, a five-year resident of Irving, was born May 29, 1879, in Cookesville, Tex. Before retiring, he had been associated as a banker with Cookesville State Bank for 45 years. Burford was a member of Story Road Christian Church.
Survivors include a son, Leslie Burford of Dallas; two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Smith of Irving and Mrs. Dorothy Conway of Euless; two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Rose of Texarkana and Mrs. Harbert Ordway of Paris, Tex.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
