JOHN PHILLIP BRADLEY GOODBREAD,3982 -
son of Adam Souder and Elizabeth (Vanzant) Goodbread, was born 3 Dec. 1842, Nassau Co., FL and died 31 Mar. 1889 in Hamilton Co., FL. He married 14 Feb. 1866 in Columbia Co. FL his first cousin, Elizabeth Brown Goodbread, daughter of Jacob Tapley and Jane Dean (Brown) Goodbread. Elizabeth was born about 1844 in Columbia Co., FL and died about 1916. They are both buried in the Old Prospect Cemetery, Hamilton County. John was a 3rd Lt. Co. “D” 4th Florida Inf. in the Confederate Army and was captured and imprisoned at Johnson's Island, Ohio. He was paroled in June 1865 and was a member of the Florida Constitutional Convention in 1869.
