Proven to be ancestor of Clayton Heathcock Jr. by DNA. CHH shares 11 cM with J.W., a son of John Williams and Helen Stout. The genealogical path from J.W. back to John Hobbs appears to be well-documented. There is no direct evidence which son of John Hobbs was the father of the Joseph Hobbs who was born in 1789, but it is reasonable to postulate that it was John’s son Joseph, who was born in 1768.
