Monroe W. Potts Jr.3785 Services for Monroe W. Potts Jr., 66, Murfreesboro, who died Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center from heart failure, are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. George Jones will officiate.
A native of Kentwood, La., his parents were the late Monroe W. and Maggie Bell Varnado Potts.
He is survived by his wife, Janice H. Potts; four sons, Kenneth Wesley Potts, Billy Wayne Potts, both of Lake Charles, La., Robert Paul Potts, Thomas Owen Potts, both of Unionville; stepson, Jeff Turley of Boston, Mass.; stepdaughter, Jill Hardison of Madera, Calif.; brother, Felix Henry Potts of Baton Rouge, La.; three sisters, Edna Grice, Evelyn Stafford, Flora Belle Slaven, all of Kentwood, La.; nine grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren.
A member of the East Fork Baptist Church, he was an insulation contractor.
