Mrs. Maggie Baker Dies At Residence3743
Mrs. Maggie Allen Baker, 71, wife of the late Martin Alexander Baker, died at the residence at Highmound, Sunday, July 3, after an extended illness. Her parents are the late John and Mary Griffin Owen. Mrs. Baker was a native of St. Clair County and was a member of Concord Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Harold Baker, Birmingham, and Martin Lashon Baker, Village Springs; three daughters, Mrs. Willene Nash, Birmingham, Mrs. Maggie Long and Mrs. Muriel Happer, Highmound; three sisters, Mrs. A. S. Stephens, Purvis, Miss., Mrs. G. A. Flanagan, Attalla, and Miss Velma Owen, Huntsville; two brothers, Ed and B. K. Owen, Highmound. Funeral services were held at Highmound Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev. Anderson Tuck officiating. Interment was there, Lemley Funeral Chappel in charge.
