MARVIN W. ASBURY Marvin William Asbury, 74, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord Friday, May 15, 1992, at 9:15 a.m. at Shannon Medical Center.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 18, in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bennie Anderson of Baptist Tabernacle Church officiating. Robert Massie Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Marvin was born Aug. 25, 1917, in Floresville, Texas, to W.A. "Green" and Stella Mae Asbury.
He was a retired tire salesman and a lifelong resident of San Angelo.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, GLORIS MARIE ASBURY of San Angelo; three children, LOUISE FIELDS and husband, JOE FIELDS , of San Angelo, MARVIN 'SONNY' ASBURY JR. of Ruidoso, N.M. and MARY ANN WILLIAMSON and husband; BILL WILLIAMSON of Houston; six grand children; SHERRI CAMILLE ARDREY of San Angelo, LYNETTE MORELAND & KIMBERLY ASBURY , both of Johnson City, KAREN TINNY & KIRK KADLE of Houston, and THOMAS SMITH Smith of San Angelo; three great'grandchildren, RYAN ARDREY of San Angelo, and MATTHEW TINNEY & TROY TINNEY of Houston; a sister, ILA MAE SCHULTZ of San Angelo; three brothers, EDGAR ASBURY of Onalaska, Texas, W. A. 'JUNIOR' ASBURY of San Angelo and LEON ASBURY of San Antonio; and several nieces and nephews.
