Louis Alison King3682Services for Louis Alison King, 79, of Lexington were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Lexington with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery. King, a retired processing manager for Delta Pine & Land Co. in Scott, died March 8, 2003 at University Hospital in Lexington. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific Theater.
He is survived by his wife, Gwindolyn McRae King of Lexington; four sons, Louis Alison King Jr. of Morristown, Tenn., James Maurice King of Dothan, Ala., John Read King of Los Angeles, Calif., and Charles Andrew King of Fayetteville, Ark.; a sister, Melissa Temple of Lexington; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Rev. Dale Van Ness officiated with Southern Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Louis Alison King III, Jamie King, Tyler King, Johnny McMillan, Max Yates and Kim Kimbrough. Officers of the church serving as honorary pallbearers were Dick Temple, Woodson Earle and A.B. Holder.
