John de Wyke was lord of this manor [Ninehead-Flory] in the time of King Edw. I. [1272-1307] whom he attended in an expedition against the Scots, and was succeeded by another John de Wyke, and he by Philip de Wyke, who held this manor, and that of Withiel-Flory 13 Edw. II.3128 [1307+13=1320]
