Services Set For Victim Of Accident997
Marvin Columbus Heathcock, 49, of Route 3, died Tuesday in a local hospital as a result of injuries he received the previous Tuesday when a pickup truck fell on him.
He had been working under the truck when the bumper jack collapsed!
The accident occurred in front of the mobile home of his wife's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Jackson behind the Billups Service Station on Goliad Highway.
Heathcock was born Aug. 18. 1934 in Floresville. Formerly of Goliad County, he was self-employed as a brick mason.
Memorial services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Abundant Life Outreach Church with the Rev. Kenneth Bowley officiating. Burial will be private. McCabe-Carruth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are his wife, Peggy Jackson Heathcock of Victoria; his parents, Columbus Hale and Ruby Seal Heathcock of Galena Park; three daughters, Dorie Jones of Webster, Carey Osborn of Bastrop and Loretta Lynch of LaMarque; four sons, Dwayne Heathcock and Russell Lund-berg, both of Victoria, Larry Goodwill of Webster and Rocky Heathcock; three sisters, Doris Stephens and Mary Tollesen, both of Pasadena and Stell Heathcock of Hunts ville; and three brothers, James Young of Cypress Fairbanks, John Heathcock of Galena Park and Charles Heathcock of Tomball.
