Wesley Heathcock was my favorite person who ever walked the Earth. He had a great sense of humor, loved everyone he met, and always had that twinkle in his eye. His mother passed away when he was 3 years old, so he went to live on the farm with his older brother, Doug Caraway. Doug and his wife, Emma, could not have children, and Grandpa worked hard on the land. He walked barefoot to school or rode his horse to school. He made it through the 5th grade before he had to quit and attend to duties on the farm. He took care of Doug and Emma until they passed away.1000
