George Bell made his will in Edgecome Co VA February 18, 1755, probated in May 1755. He named son John, plantation where I now live; David, George, and Wife Sarah Bell. Executors were Wife Sarah and son John. Witnesses were Arthur Bell and George Bell.479
A listing for George Bell Jr. and wife Sarah, with children John, David, George, others, appears in the Edgecombe Co NC Vital Records, 1720-1880, a compilation of records originally derived from a book entitled “Early Families of Edgecombe County, North Carolina, Its Past and Present,” published by the Tarboro Society for Genealogy and Biography in 1881.457 The date given for the death of George Bell Jr. is 8 Nov 1751. It is stated that he “owns property on Swift Creek.”
