Sarah Huff apparently never married. She wrote a will dated 19 Nov 1838 that was found in a trunk at some later date and published by Eileen Martin Bone in 1981.2162,299 In this will she bequeathed to “Elizabeth Huff my dearly beloved mother” her “black girl Jinny”, as well as her cattle and hogs, household furniture, bedding and spinning wheel. She left her land to Charity Smith. Also mentioned were bequests to John Huff and William Huff and to Lidia Coleman. John Huff was named executor. The will was recorded in Cocke Co TN on 10 Oct 1840.
