The following account is from Mary Hollan Rust, supplied to Clayton Heathcock on January 31, 2014:
My mom took my grandmother Mary Catherine King Hollan several times to see her sisters Cora and Dora. I would go with her and we would stay for several days. I remember the great aunts were such sweet gentle women. I remember walking with aunt Cora to the split rail pens to feed turkey. There were a lot of turkey! I vividly remember playing on the grape vines and digging holes in the sand of the Ecleto creek. Dad told me that his grandmother (Adelia) was nervous when she would see Indian's traveling the creek.
