HORNER2018––James Andrew Horner, 74. died at his home in Dripping Springs at 3:35 p. m. Friday. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Wallace A. Horner, Dripping Springs and William Elbert Horner, Cedar Valley: two sisters and two brothers in Tennessee and one brother in California.
Horner was born in Hamblen county, East Tennessee. Oct. 14, 1870 and came to Texas at the age of 22. Nov. 15, 1806. he married Miss Minnie King of near Lockhart. He had been living in Dripping Springs for the past 40 years. He has been a member of and active in the Baptist church since the age of 15 years.
The body will be at the Weed-Corley Funeral home until Saturday afternoon, when it will be taken to the Baptist church in Dripping Snrings where funeral services will be held at 3 p. m. Burial will be in Phillips cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ike D. Roberts, Y. L. Lawrence, Dr. E. P. Shelton, J. T. Echols, P. A. Glosson and W. S. Garnett.
