Under date of Oct 1673, "Judgment to Mary Ledbetter against Tho. Walton for 1000 lb tab for accomodation cloathing and levys expended plus debt," Vol 12 Court Orders, Charles City County page 549 original. Mary was likely the widowed mother of Henry.

Under date of 15 Aug 1678 Fragments of Court Order Book, Charles City County, p 318 by Ann B. Peebles (unpublished), "Wm. Range, dec'd, left to the use of Henry Ledbeater one mare filly which by Roger Rice delivered to said Henry, and prays the same be recorded. Mr. John Sturdevant desired to see the same branded for use of said Henry."
Under date of 12 Feb 1716, Court Order Book Prince George County, p 105 by Ann B. Peebles (unpublished ), "Hugh Lee, Sr, exhibited a judgment of 12 Feb 1716, and desired it recorded and execution issued thereon against Henry Ledbetter and John his son, and they ordered to pay said Lee-and 5 S, costs of execution." This probably meant that Henry was dead and that was the reason for issuing execution against his son John. It will be noted that in Charles City Patent Book 7,-387, the patent of 548.32 acres to Francis Ledbetter recited "adjoining Hugh Lee's land."
