Dorothy Cone of Granbury died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002. She was 84.
She was born Oct. 30, 1918 in Ellis County. She married Sterling William Cone on Oct. 13, 1938 in Midland. She was a restaurant owner in Melrose, NM, and moved to Midland where she worked for Eubanks Auto Parts.
Her husband, Sterling William Cone, preceded her in death.
Survivors include four sons, Claude of Albuquerque, NM, Larry of Lakeland, Fla., Terry of Portales, NM, and Ray of Gardendale; a daughter, Carolyn Powell of Acton; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Gravesidie services are today (Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002) at 1 1 a.m. at Resthaven Cemetery in Lubbock with Claudia Cone officiating.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Craig Cone Memorial Scholarship Fund, box 94485, Albuquerque, NM 87199 or to a charity of choice.
Wiley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
