Thomas C. Jones of Patton, died at the home of his son J. A. Jones Dec. 31 at 13:30 a. m. after an illness of two months. He was a native of Owensvllle, Ind., where he was. bom Dec. 4, 1866, son of Alfred and Elizabeth Herrin Jones. His age was 91 years and 27 days. He was married to Etta V. Waters in Gibson county in October, 1886.
Surviving are four children, Claire A. Staats of Evansville, Ind., Margaret E. Davidson of Lago, Ind., John Alonzo Jones of Mt. Carmel and Treaver Levi Jones of Wabash, Ind. There are 20 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren. His wife and two sons, James Jones and Arbury Leolis Jones preceded him In death.
Mr. Jones was taken to the Roy D. Short Company Funeral Home where friends may call. Funeral services will be held at the Maumee church at Johnson, Ind., Thursday morning at 10. Burial will be in Maumee cemetery.
