Barbara Sue Whiteley, Dave McLaughlin Marry858 Miss Barbara Sue Whiteley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hardy William Whiteley of Georgetown, became the "bride of David Lynn McLaughlin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard R. McLaughlin of Georgetown, Friday night in the Georgetown Church of Christ.
The Rev. Harvey Porter of Albuquerque read the double ring rites.
The bride, a graduate of Georgetown High School, graduated from Durham's Business College and is presently a secretary and agent for the Georgetown Railroad Company.
Mr. McLaughlin, also a graduate of Georgetown High School graduated from The University of Texas where he was a member of the Longhorn Band and the Amer ican Meteorological Society. He is' presently a meterologist at the I S weather Bureau at Abilene.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of lace over satin. The long fitted Dooice was accentuatea with a scalloped neckline. Three points of chantilly lace decorated the bal lerina length skirt, which was cov ered by overskirts of tulle.
Her elbow length veil of chantilly lace was caught up in a ti ara of pearls. She carried a white orchid centered by white stock.
Mrs. R. Morris Faubion, sister of the bride, was the attendant She wore a street length gown of embossed, blue cotton satin with a matching blue veil.
Melvin McLaughlin, brother of the bridegroom, was the best man. Ushers were David C. Hughes Jr. of Houston, Joe N. Carroll Jr., R. Morris Faubion and Tommy Wade. Mr. Faubion and Mr. Wade also served as candlelighters.
Following the reception in the home of the bridegroom's grandparents, the couple left for a wedding trip. They will reside in Abilene.
