Notes for Rhoda (Spouse 1)
Rhoda Cotter Wiley died after the birth of her son Arvo in October 1877 and before the September 1878, when Frank Wiley remarried to Elizabeth Heathcock. It is possible that she died in childbirth with Arvo.
From Karon Mac Smith’s book:
175To Frank and Rhoda Cotter Wiley were born: Francis Eugene who married Leona Miller; A. Edward who married Annie Trammel; Emery Alvro and Sydney* who died young, and two little girls, Minnie and Claudie, who drowned.”
*Apparently an error, as Sydney appears to have been the child of Elizabeth Heathcock Wiley. Also, he did not die young as he married at age 22 and was still alive in Wichita Falls in 1930 at the age of 50.
