C. E. (ED.) HARRIS SR.243GEORGETOWN – C. E. (Ed.) Harris Sr., 72, of 904 East 12th Street, died at his home Wednesday. He had been a. resident of Georgetown for the past 34 years and was the owner of the Troy Laundry & Cleaners, a member of the Church of Christ, Masonic Lodge, Shrine, IOOF and the Georgetown Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ida Harris of Georgetown; three sons, Charles H. Harris of El Paso, William G. Harris of San Antonio, and C. E. Harris Jr. of Georgetown; one daughter, Mrs. Ida Merle Richter of Houston; three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Campbell of Taylor, Mrs. Lory Foster of Georgetown, and Mrs. Mable Lay of San Antonio; four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Frederick - Guthrie Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Friday with Paul Meyer and James Burns officiating. Burial will be in IOOF cemetery.
