Elvis began showing on June 15, 2004, when he was exactly six months of age. In just one week, Elvis took BOW twice, WD twice, and RWD twice. He finished with 19 points and four majors at the age of six months and 7 days, making him the second youngest Rhodesian Ridgeback champion in AKC history (a Lamerdo Perro dog who finished at the age of six months and 7 days in 1958, but holds the record because he was only 188 days of age while Elvis was 190 days of age, due to a leap year and one longer month between Elvis's birthday and the day he finished).

In winning his championship under Judge Stein, Elvis also earned ROM for his dam.
