The puppies were born on Wednesday night and Thursday morning, April 14/15, 1999. Marley is a very strong dog and had a relatively easy whelp. She went into labor about noon and delivered the first puppy at 9:05 pm. The last puppy was born about 2 am. There were eight puppies, five females and three males. Two females and two males were livernosed and one each was ridgeless. One puppy, a ridgless livernosed male, died of unknown causes within the first day. The seven surviving puppies were:

1 livernosed ridged male (Cuervo)

1 blacknosed ridged male (Frijole)

1 livernosed ridged female (Carnita)

1 livernosed ridgeless female (Margarita)

3 blacknosed ridged females (Salsa, Taco, Chili)
