80, passed on peacefully at home on Sunday, June 2, 2013 with her family. She was born March 21, 1933, in Abilene, the daughter of Louie and Pearl (Garten) Zey.

Growing up in Abilene, she attended local schools and graduated from Abilene High School. On December 29, 1950, she married her husband of 62 years, William Miller Jr. They lived and worked together on their farm near Enterprise. She worked as a wife, mother and farm wife. Louise was a member of the St. Andrews Catholic Church in Abilene for her whole life.

Louise is preceded in death by her parents Louie and Pearl Zey, sisters Patty Corley and Martha Cook.

She is survived by her husband Bill, four daughters, Cindy (Rod) Kalivoda of Manhattan, Jane (Casey) Foltz of Abilene, Suzie (Larry) Shankweiler of Manhattan, Katie (Tim) Wieters of Chapman, two sons, Bill M. (Vicky) Miller of Enterprise, Joe (Anita) Miller of Enterprise, grandchildren Beau Miller (Heather Widler), Matt (Diana) Miller, Billy Joe Miller, Steve (Tracie) Kalivoda, Sam (Seanna) Kalivoda, Ann (Aaron) Strunk, Alex Foltz, Austin and Caylin Shankweiler, Hannah and Drew Miller, Jillian Wieters (Bryson Haverkamp), and Cole Wieters. Great-grandson Dylon Kalivoda. She is also survived by siblings Pauline Sims, Joe (Donna) Zey, Cecilia (Mervin) Sexton, Jane (Stan) Veal, Irene (Tom) Glennon, and Linda Zey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 6th, at St. Andrews Catholic Church with Fr. Henry Baxa and Fr. Mark Wesely officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery. A vigil service will be held 6:30 P.M. Wednesday, June 5th, at St. Andrews Catholic Church with the family receiving friends afterwards in the parish hall.

The family suggests memorial in her name be made to the St. Andrews Catholic Church or Home Health and Hospice of Dickinson County. They may be left at the church or left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
