Bobby Gene "Bob" Pequignot Sr., age 64, Joplin, passed away at 11:55 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2006, at St. John's Regional Medical Center.

Bob was born March 23, 1942, in Joplin to the late Louis Pequignot and Grace Mae Hodges Pequignot and had lived in Joplin all of his life. He worked as a truck driver for Leggett & Platt and several other trucking agencies in Joplin, retiring in 2005. He drove all over the continental United States; Canada; and Mexico, driving in all states except Vermont. He was a member of Joplin Heights Baptist Church and the Gold Wing Road Riders Association.

He married Anna "Sue" Buckner on Sept. 26, 1992, in Webb City. She survives at the home.

Additional survivors include his children, Louis Pequignot, Ohio, Gene Pequignot, Joplin, Larry Pequignot, Joplin, Patrick Pequignot, Ohio, Bobby Pequignot Jr., Joplin, Tonya Brookover, Ohio, Sheila Johnson, Springfield, Molly Johnson, Neosho, Frankie Furry, San Diego, Calif., Walter Furry, Webb City, and David Furry, Springfield; sisters, Nancy Meek, Jenny Hylton and Debbie Shaffar, all of Joplin; brothers, Louis Pequignot, Springfield, Ronald Pequignot, Ohio, and Donald Pequignot, Louisiana; 26 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Pequignot, of Joplin.

Sue Pequignot, age 71, Joplin, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at her home with family at her side.

Sue was born September 10, 1945 in Joplin, daughter of the late Frankie Andrew Buckner and Flossie Mae Dickson Buckner. She graduated from Webb City High School, and attended Franklin Tech and Missouri Southern where she received her degree in clerical work. She worked as a secretary, for Wininger Real Estate, and most recently with Electronic Security Systems, where she was scheduled to retire in September of this year. She was a member of Joplin Heights Baptist Church, the Women's Missionary Union, and was a volunteer at Watered Gardens and Crosslines of Joplin. She was also a member of the Gold Wing Riders, which she and her husband, Bobby, enjoyed for years.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Pequignot, who died May 13, 2006; and a brother, Bill Buckner.

Survivors include her children, Sheila Johnson of Sedalia, Missouri, Molly Johnson and husband Michael of Neosho, Missouri, Frankie Furry and wife Diane of Shelton, Washington, Walter Furry and wife Christy, and David Furry all of Joplin; step-children, Larry Pequignot and Gene Pequignot and wife Millie all of Joplin, Louie Pequignot and wife Peggy, Patrick Pequignot and wife Theresa, and Tonya Brookover and husband Mike all of Ohio; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles Buckner and wife Cathy of Walnut Grove, Missouri, George Buckner and wife Kathy of Webb City; sister, Donna Overman of Pittsburg, Kansas; several nieces and nephews.
